Funeral Of Mrs. R.A.J. Brooks

The Funeral of Mrs. R. A. J. Brooks, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Allen, yesterday, was held this morning at 10 o'clock from the residence.
Services were conducted by Rev. W. K. Pernod of the Baptist church, who made a fine talk, giving a brief sketch of her life and paying deserved tribute to her memory.
At the conclusion of the service the acting pall bearers, Messrs. L. C. Brenner, W. M. Fly, Geo. Edwing, W. C. Brown, Chas. F. Clark and Judge J. W. Holmes, bore the remains to the hearse and the procession formed and proceeded to the Masonic cemetery where interment was made, a short service being held as the last offices for the dead were performed.
Numerous pretty floral offerings completely covered the new made grave. One especially lovely offering was a tribute from her four grandchildren.
Besides Mrs. Allen she leaves four children by her second husband.
Mrs. Brooks resided in this county for a number of years, but of late years made her home with her daughter in this city.
The many friends of the family will join us in extending condolence.
