She was preceded in death by her parents, Kessler and Della Wall Caraway, her husband, Graham Lee Cates Sr. Mother of Willie Mae Washington Gaddy, Fannie Graves, Mary Woods, Sylvia Weeks, James Cates, Graham Cates, Jr., Willie Cates and Lewis Cates. Sister of Irene Jackson, Mary Cates ,Frances Wall and Lonzie Caraway.
