Helen "Jackie" Kleiman, 74, of Syracuse, and formerly of Malone, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, Feb. 2, 2014, at the Van Duyn Nursing Home in Syracuse.
Born in Malone, Aug. 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Vivian Wheeler Dumas. She graduated from Franklin Academy in 1957.
Jackie worked for the telephone company in Syracuse for many years.
She was an avid Syracuse Orangeman basketball fan and Yankees fan. She enjoyed collecting lighthouses and angels and doing puzzles.
Survivors include one son; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Kathy Dumas of Malone; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Arthur Preve officiating.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country Inc. in Malone.
