Gwendolyn Pegues Quick (affectionately known as Gwen); daughter of Ona Pegues. Gwen was raised in Bennettsville, SC where she began the early years of her education. In 1965 the family relocated to High Point, North Carolina. Gwen obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from North Carolina A&T State University. She was the husband of Thomas Quick, Jr; the mother of Thomas Kordell and Step-mother to two sons, Jason and Jermaine Kelly; sister of Julia Bivens, Oscar, Janet, Minister Shelby, Harriet, Rev. William, Artie, Sharon, Minister Fredrick, Rev. Alton and LaVerne Pegues.
