Kathleen Daniel, 78, of New Castle, IN, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 21,2016 after a brief illness.
She was born May 29,1938 in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Thomas and Lena (Rasner) Ziglar. She was a former employee of New Castle School Corp., retiring after many years of service as a custodian and was head custodian at the 7th grade building on 14th street in New Castle at the time of her retirement. She enjoyed making quilts, embroidering and liked reading and spending time with her family. She was also a Golden Eagle of the Eagle Ladies Auxiliary.
Left to cherish her loving memory include: three daughters; Gail Hutson, Kay (Ronnie) Winchester, Hope Smith, all of New Castle; one sister, Mary Lurleen Mercer of Straughn, IN; one brother, Eugene (Brenda) Ziglar of New Castle; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: both parents; two son; Michael Daniel and Wayne Daniel; one great-granddaughter; Emily Walters and one son-in-law, Steve Hutson.
