Harry C. Spargur was a horse trainer. He was married at least twice, but his death certificate lists him as a widower at the time of his death. He died of pulmonary tuberculosis.

Harry C. Spargur, 57 years old, died at St. Joseph's hospital Saturday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock, following a protracted illness. Death was due to a complication. Mr. Spargur was a horse trainer by profession , and was a native of Louisville. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters. They are Lee Spargur, Lewiston, Idaho; Don Spargur, Victoria, B.C.; Mrs. b.R. Salmons, Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. Frank Bing, St. Louis. Funeral services will be held at the Charles A. Baker funeral home on south Limestone street, Monday morning, at 10 o'clock. Rev. Hayes Farish officiating. Interment will follow in the Lexington cemetery. The pall bearers will be Clifford Porter, James Paul, Miller Paul, H. W. Hayes, Robert Gore and Charles Gormley.
