Gregory Dee Williams, 63, passed away on Oct. 6, 2016, at Bear River Valley Care Center after a long battle with Post-Polio Syndrome. He was born in Ogden, Utah, to Daniel Dee and Aileen Williams on Dec. 7, 1952.

His childhood was spent in Plymouth causing havoc with his brothers and sisters.

He later married DeAnn Spence and moved to Garland to raise their family. Greg worked at Marks Body Shop, Thiokol, MC Foam and Western Metals. He was also a member of the Garland Fire Department for roughly 20 years. He was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

His life passions included coaching baseball, watching his three kids play sports, welding, working on cars, watching his family’s cutter racing teams and fishing.

Greg is survived by his children, Jarrod (Brydie) Williams, Nathan (Kaylece) Williams and Joyce (Amy) Williams; six grandchildren with one more on the way, due in December; his mother Aileen; sisters, Aloa (Mark) Peterson, Debra (Danny) Chournos, Trena (Guy) Harris; brothers, Martin (Johnel) Williams, Todd (Janet) Williams and Kevin (Lori) Williams.

He was preceded in death by his father Daniel Dee.

Even with his disability he did not let anything stop him. He never let it get the best of him until the very end.

Funeral services for Greg will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Garland Tabernacle (140 W. Factory) at 11 a.m. Viewings will be held on Monday evening, Oct. 10, from 6-8 p.m., at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton) and prior to the funeral service at the church from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Garland Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Garland 1st Ward, Bear River Valley Care Center and the visitors that Greg has had over the years.
