Amos Hardison died of a brain aneurism at age 38. He taught Biology and Chemistry at Ardmore High School for probably 15 years. In July 1972, Amos married Retha McLemore. They had three daughters: Genoa, Karol, and Nancy.

Mr. Hardison was a nice man. He was a tough, but fair teacher. I learned a lot in his class. Back then, he seemed old, but I guess 38 wasn't so old after all.
