Louis "Bill" Adamovich, age 81, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Monday, February 13, 2006, in The Madison Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Morgantown, West Virginia.

He was born on March 29, 1924, in Baxter, West Virginia, the son of Andrew Adamovich and Mary (Simsic) Adamovich.

He later moved to Uniontown, Pennsylvania, in 1925.

He was a Life Member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Uniontown where he served as President and Council Member.

He was a Past Master of Fayette Lodge No. 228 of the Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania and also the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection.

He served in World War II with the United States Army Air Corps and was a member of the American Legion Post 51 and a Life Member of The Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 58.
He was an avid bowler and belonged to several leagues for many years out of Manor Lanes in Hopwood, Pennsylvania.

He worked as a body and paint mechanic in several shops prior to going into the insurance industry. He retired after 24 years with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

He was also retired from the Laurel Highlands School District where he worked in the maintenance department.

He was predeceased by his parents, dearest wife, Anne (Blatnic) Adamovich, and the following brothers and sisters, Andrew Adamovich, Samuel Adamovich, John Adamovich, Helen Blazek, Mary Horensky and Sue Stahurski.

He is survived by his two sons: L. Richard Adamovich and his wife, Janet, and Robert A. Adamovich and his wife, Sharon, all of Uniontown, Pa.; one grandson, Elliott Adamovich; two granddaughters: Jennifer Adamovich and Melissa Adamovich; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, February 16, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Service will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 121 Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, with the Rev. Bernard Carl officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Flower Fund of the Mary Martha Altar Guild at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 121 Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, PA 15401.

A Masonic Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday (time will be announced).
