Jim was born in South Bend, to the late James A. Crouch, Sr. and Belva (Dunlap) Crouch. Jim attended Arcola High School. He served in the US army from November, 10, 1948 to July, 26, 1952. During his time in the military, Jim fought in WWII. Mr. Crouch married Wilma (Palmer) Crouch, on June, 2, 1973 in Fort Wayne; she preceded him in death on February, 9, 2005.

Mr. Crouch was a truck driver for the Kroger Company and retired in 1990 after 42 years of service. Jim and his late wife owned and operated the Dillman Upholstery Shop in Dillman, for 15 years. He was an Army Veteran of the 501Transportation Unit and had recently reunited with a couple of buddies, Howard Jensen and Milton Trowbridge. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post #202 in Butler. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was a member of the Dillman United Brethren In Christ Church where he loved to sing and play his guitar specials. Jim's love that he shared with family and friends will be greatly missed. We love you, rest in peace.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Fred) Brooks of Tucson, Ariz.; son, Rick (Joann) Crouch, Tucson, Ariz.; brother, Kenneth (Myra) Crouch, Angola; sister, Rayola (Thomas) Mindock, Lancaster, Calif.; step-son, David (JoAnn) Lacey, Bristol; step-daughter, Donna Runkle, Warren; and three step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; father; mother; son, James Crouch; daughter, Virginia Crouch; step-son, Timothy Lacey; and step-grandson, Mark Runkle.
