Mary Ann Sinclair Hicks, age 79, of 303 Brookhaven Drive, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at AnMed Health Medical Center, with her loving family at her side.

Born on August 14, 1937, in Elbert County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Park Sinclair and the late Beulah Lunsford Sinclair. For fifty-eight years, she was the loving and devoted wife of James Hicks of the residence.

After graduation from Bowman High School, Mrs. Hicks was employed as a telephone operator with Southern Bell. She retired after 20 years of service to Southern Bell. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, including motorcycle cross country trips, camping and motor coach touring with friends and family. Ann loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of Homeland Park Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Sinclair.

A funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Mrs. Hicks will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016, at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Hammond officiating. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
