Mr. James L. Porterfield of Mulberry died of heart failure Sunday (Feb. 26, 2006) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 59.Born in Cedarville, Kan., on Jan. 1, 1947, he came to Mulberry from Massachusetts 13 years ago. He was a purchasing agent for Mid State Machine. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of the Mulberry Memorial American Legion S.A.L. Squadron No. 72. He was a Methodist.Mr. Porterfield is survived by his sister, Marilyn Porterfield, Mulberry.
