Mrs. Tyra Morgan, 77, widow of John Morgan and a resident of Oak Creek for many years, died Monday in Denver after a week's illness. Mrs. Morgan was born in Bangor, Maine, and came to Denver with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. C. Grant in 1877. She and Mr. Morgan resided in Central City [Colorado] for many years before coming to Oak Creek 30 years ago where he was owner of the Oak Creek Drug Co. Two nieces, Mrs. Josephine Richardson of Denver and Mrs. Hazel McDaniel of Oakland, California; a nephew, A. R. Kirk of Portland, Oregon, and a grand-niece, Mrs. John Rees of Oakland, survive. Funeral services are being held in Denver today.
