Edna Arlyn (Wheeler)Ware was a business woman and owner or "Wares Fabrics" on the North Side of the Courthouse Square. She was a member of The First Baptist Church for many years and taught a ladies sunday school class. Arlyn and Richard "Dick" Ware had a daughter Janice who attended College at Oklahoma College for Women located in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Janice graduated from O.C.W. in the 1950's and taught in the Public Schools of Oklahoma retireing at Frederick, Oklahoma. She was mother to three children including Stephen Ware.
Arlyn worked at Self's Homefurnishings of Cordell, Oklahoma for over 10 years until 1987 after retiring from her own Business. She enjoyed helping other widow's and older citizens of her community as well as kepping up with the younger members of the community.. Her contribution to making Life more enjoyable for those around her is greatly missed but remembered.
