Rosemary "Rosie" Gintner, age 73, a Manitowoc resident, died early Friday morning, October 28, 2016 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on February 14, 1943 in Stevens Point, daughter of the late Norman & Christine (Blaskey) Zunker. Rosie was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1961. On September 1, 1962 she married Joseph Gintner at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2012. Rosie worked on the home farm in Reedsville after her marriage to Joe. She was also employed with various companies including Mirro, Mr. Donut, St. Mary's and Shady Lane Homes. Rosie was a member of the Christian Mothers of St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills.

Survivors include her children: Darlene & Keith Mannebach, Appleton, Joseph Gintner & Debbie Brandt, Reedsville, Marlene & Dean Miller, Green Bay, Michelle & Chadd Kernz, Manitowoc, Kristin & Bob Zipperer, Reedsville; nine grandchildren: Carmen (Michael), Troy, Brett, Colin, Christina, Cole, Rachel, Brayden & Claire; one great grandson: Samuel; one great granddaughter: Mallory; three sisters and three brothers-in-law: Diane & Kenneth Decker, Manitowoc, Delores Swedowski, Bevent, WI., Grace & August Gruna, Bevent, WI., Jerry Lang, Wittenberg, WI.; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Rodger & Lynn Zunker, Two Rivers, Myron & Anita Kedrowski, Reseeda, CA., Jeannie Zunker, Janesville, WI.; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Paul & Roseann Gintner, Valders; two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Janet & Al Braun, Whitelaw, Mary & Neil Hillstrom, Fremont, WI and Norbert Braun, Whitelaw; and four sisters-in-law: Dorothy Gintner, Whitelaw, Shirley Gintner, Hartford, Donna Gintner, Manitowoc and Dorothy Gintner, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and very special friends: Fran & Bill Demmon, also survive.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Ronald Zunker, Russel (Rusty) Zunker; one sister: Betsy Lang; six brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Leo & Delores Gintner, Earl Gintner, Kenneth Gintner, Richard Gintner, Jack Gintner, Louis Gintner; and three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Angeline & Izzy Mahloch, Florence & Emil Tienor and Gail Braun.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Burial of Rosie's and Joe's cremated remains will occur at St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Clarks Mills.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills, from 9:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 until 10:45 a.m.

Rosie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her generosity of time and cooking talent benefited many non-profit fund raising events that Joe was involved in. She was famous for her mini chocolate eclairs, kit kat bars, chili, fish frys and her award winning goose pate'. We love you and will see you in our dreams.
