Martin M. Sanchez, Sr., 67, of Calallen, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016. He was born October 30, 1948 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Benito L. and Maria Mascorro Sanchez. He retired from the staff at Annaville Baptist Church where he was a longtime member.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, Martin Sanchez, Jr. and his wife, Sandi; his daughter, Lori Lerma and her husband Carlos; his grandchildren, Nicolas Sanchez, Noah Sanchez, Jason Casas, Charlie Lerma and Jared Lerma.
He is also survived and blessed by his five brothers, Benito Sánchez, Jr (Sylvia Navarro) Laredo, Texas. Guadalupe Sánchez (Angie Reyna), Julio Sánchez, Julián Sánchez, and David Sánchez all from Corpus Christi, Texas. Three sisters, Paula G. Sordilla, (Larry Sordilla) Oxnard, Calif., Elvira S. Nixon (Don Nixon) and Anita S. Lopez (Ramiro López) from Corpus Christi, Texas. And his 85 year old favorite cousin Mrs. Guadalupe Treviño Olivárez, Corpus Christi, Texas, numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday, October 17, 2016 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Annaville Baptist Church with Bro. Robert Simmons officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
