From Obit:

"Gave her life to Christ on April 30, 1933, at age 12, becoming a member of the Black Mountain First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher to young girls for many years and also served anywhere she was needed.

Met her husband Frank in 1936 as she was riding the school bus he was driving. They married June 24 1939 Buncombe Co., NC and were together 58 years until Frank's death.

Lived in the tradition rich North Fork Community for over 55 years. She was related to most everyone living in the shadow of old Walkertown and the Asheville Watershed area.

Retired baker at Black Mountain Primary School. Also worked at Kearfott and Swannanoa 4-H Camp in the summers

Homemaker deluxe living in the same home on the righ-fork of North Fork Road that Frank had helped build his parents in the 1930's.

A true family first mother, Mary spent most of her day in the kitchen."
