Gilbert Stanley Jensen, 87, passed away on 12 April 2013, in Bountiful, Davis County, Utah, due to a lingering illness.

Stan was born on 12 March 1926, in Malad, Idaho to Gilbert Edward and Dorothy Stone Jensen. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

After graduation from high school, Stan went to work for the Southern Pacific Railroad in Ogden, Utah. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during World War II, and spend all of his time in the Pacific Theater. After returning home he worked for the Westinghouse Corporation for 33 years.

On 3 October 1969, Stan married Maren Lynn Biggs in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on 10 July 1986.

Stan is survived by his wife, Maren; son, Kevin Lee (Cindy Solomon) Jensen; step-granddaughters, Mandy (Scott) Munden and Brindy Solomon (Wes Bates); step-great-granddaughter, Karlee Munden.

Special thanks to the staff at Avalon Care Center of Bountiful for their care of Stan.

A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, 16 April 2013, in the Bountiful 12th Ward, 1475 North 300 West, under the direction of Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary.
