McCLURE — Meranda L. McKnight, 14, of 125 Mountain Springs Lane, McClure, died at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born Nov. 24, 1992, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Brian K. and Gina K. (Anderson) McKnight.

She is survived by a sister, Lindsey L. McKnight, at home; maternal grandmother, Connie Wagner, of Lewistown; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Inez McKnight, of Reedsville; maternal great-grandmother, Betty Maben, of Milroy; and paternal great-grandmother, Mildred McKnight, of Reedsville.

She was an eighth-grade student at Indian Valley Middle School.

She attended Shrader United Methodist Church.

She was a cheerleader for the Decatur Cyclones and also played community softball for Decatur.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming and riding horses. She also liked to ride four wheelers.

She liked to talk a lot and take many pictures of family and friends.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Ed Moore officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery.
