Harry Legate, 90, daughter in Adams.
Harry F. Legate, 90, of Charlemont, who was staying with a daughter, Ruth Griswold of 10 Godek St.,Adams, died Thursday at North Adams Regional Hospital, where he was admitted Sunday.
Born in Charlemont, May 13,1893, he was a son of Fred D. and Ida (Brackett) Legate. He attended schools there.
He worked as a manager with the Withmore Feed Co., Charlemont. He retired in 1958.
Mr. Legate was a member and a deacon of the Charlemont Federated Church. He was a 60-year member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellow and a member of the Charlemont Lions Club.

His first wife, the former Alice Cook, died in 1929 and his second wife, the former Laura Dugas, died in 1980.
Besides his daughter of Adams, he leaves another daughter, Mabel Baker of Westwood; and seven grandchildren.
Services are Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Charlemont Federated Church. Burial will be at Leavitt Cemetery, Charlemont.
Calling hours are Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, Shelburne Falls. In lieu of Flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
