He retired from Ford Motor Company and of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wavy and Docia Ashley; son, Jerry Ashley.
He is survived by his two sons, Doug ( Gerri ) Ashley, and Brian Ashley, daughter , Chris ( Dan ) Hickey , seven grandchildren, ; six great-grandchildren, sister, Shirley ( Wesley ) Sanders, mother of his children,
Betty Ashley.
His funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday November 4, 2016 with burial in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Crestwood, Kentucky.
