Funeral services for Ms. Lois Hazel Jackson Ezell, age 95, of Gilbertown, AL, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2016, at Gilbertown Baptist Church in Gilbertown, AL, with Reverend Jesse Griffith and Reverend Brad Bakane officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in the Gilbertown Cemetery.
Ms. Ezell passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016, at her residence.
She is survived by two daughters, Alice Carroll Smith of Gilbertown, AL and Marcus Ann Dempsey (Joe) of Gilbertown, AL; five grandchildren, Renee’ Smith, Ramona Gibson, Shelley Patrenos, Joseph Gregory Dempsey, and Marcus Armon Dempsey; and seven great grandchildren, Paige Gibson Nordan, Mary Harmon Patrenos, Meredith Gray Patrenos, Sydney Kathryn Dempsey, Regan Isabel Dempsey, Myles Cooper Dempsey, and Marley Grace Dempsey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myles Ezell; parents, Armon Leondas Jackson and Ruby Doggett Jackson; and sister, Myrtle Winslow.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Gregory Dempsey, Marcus Armon Dempsey, Gray Patrenos, Chase Nordan, Roger Thorne, and Joseph “Bud” Worsham.
Honorary pallbearers include the deacons of Gilbertown Baptist Church, Homestead Hospice nurses and staff, Margaret Taylor, Eldean Nicholson, Betty Todd, and Alice Goodwin.
