Mrs. Martha Bruce Dies Here Today

Mrs. Martha Bruce, 77, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rolla Walker, 612 West Washington street. She was a member of the Church of God on McLeansboro street.

Surviving are the following children: John and Clyde Bruce, Benton; Mrs. Frank Treece, Mrs. John McElyea, Mrs. Walker, and Mrs. Bill Harben, Benton, Mrs. E. M. Drake, San Pedro, Calif., and Mrs. Byford Sanders, Logan. A brother, M. E. Griffith, living in Kansas, also survives.

The body will lie in state at the home of Mrs. Treece, 9th and Joplin streets, Benton. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Church of God, with Rev. Wm. Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows cemetery, under the direction of the Mitchell Funeral Home.
