DEATH: CLAY LARSEN
Clay passed away peacefully, in his sleep, January 5, 1992 at the home of a daughter, Judy, in Tucson, Arizona where he had lived for the past six years.
The eldest child of Hyrum Smith and Dora J. Acord Larsen. Hyrum Clay was born October 11, 1900 in Castle Dale, Utah. He married Almira (Myra) Freda Reusser in Price, Utah June 28, 1922; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.He was preceded in death by his wife and two eldest children, Arlene and Clay, Jr., in childhood. Survived by sons, Randy K., Salt Lake City; Kent S., Lanham, Maryland; daughters, Phyllis Child, Seattle, Wash.; Judy Hales, Tucson, Ariz.; Lucille Reusser Jarman, Spring City; brothers, Milton A., Orr I., and Wallace R., Salt Lake City; sisters, Silva Ellis, Modesto, Calif.; Helen Maxwell, Delia Hancock and Mary Holt, Salt Lake City; 25 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren whom affectionately call him the "Great One". He was the patriarch of a large family and loved by all.
He will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, 11 a.m. at the Mountain View Memorial Estates Chapel, 3115 East 7800 So. (Bengal Blvd.), where friends may call Friday evening, Jan. 10, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Saturday.
Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests those wishing to do so make donations to the Alzheimers Association, 919 No. Michigan Ave., Suite 1000, Chicago, Illinois, 60611-1676.
