Karen E. Amos, 76 of Kokomo died Monday morning November 7, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Howard County on October 3, 1940 to Darrel and Ruby (Deford) Rayl. Karen married Gary G. Amos on September 18, 1960; he survives.

Karen was a Certified Professional Secretary and worked as a Clerk at Delphi Electronics. She was a member of Community First Bank Journey Club, enjoying her travels in Europe and having the opportunity to see all 50 states. She belonged to UAW 292 and was a Licensed Beautician.

Survivors include her husband, two children, Brian Gene Amos and wife Jennette of Kokomo and Lori K. Amos of Kokomo. Karen's siblings include Brenda Duncan, Mona Graham and husband Charlie and Judy Graham, all of Kokomo. Karen enjoyed her grandchildren, Jacob (Emily) Amos, Kara (Derrick) Rittenhouse, Megan Tannor, Audrey (Brad) Hoff, Alec (Bailey) Gaither and great-grandchildren Kaden Rittenhouse and Kolsen Rittenhouse and an honorary granddaughter Lili Hensler.

Funeral services will be Thursday November 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Don McDowell presiding. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until service time.
