John Gholson Oswald III died peacefully at a local hospital on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at the age of 73.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel, with Pastor Denny Pavlik officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate John's life.

John was born in New Orleans, La. His family moved to Fort Worth when he was 10. He married Donna in 1969 and was married for 47 years. He touched many lives throughout his life, especially as an ambulance driver. He also worked as a security officer, but the job he cherished the most was the time he spent as greeter and usher at Eagle Mountain International Church.
John's love of family was known to all. He also loved Jesus and said he would have helped Peter take out the Roman soldiers if he had been there. He was known for protecting his family at all costs and making people laugh, even in the most difficult and heart-wrenching circumstances.
Survivors: His wife, Donna; son, Thomas and his wife, Dottie; son, Patrick and his wife, Cherri; grandchildren, Gabriel, David, Grace, Matthew, Katherine, Jennifer, Michael, Katie and Madison; as well as many other family and friends.
