William S. Archer died Saturday at his home on Old Army Road, Greenville. Mr. Archer succumbed to an illness from which he suffered for more than a year and for which he underwent two operations. For 20 years he held the contract for the removal of waste in Greenville and at the time of his death held a similar contract in Scarsdale. A son of E. Semon and Laura Feeley Archer, he was born in Mamaroneck 57 years ago and was educated in the schools of that village and Greenville. He had lived in Greenville for 43 years. He was married in 1900 to Miss Carrie LeViness of Hartsdale, who, with a daughter, Mrs. Garret [Carol] Delca of Greenville, survives. Funeral services tomorrow at Havey Funeral Home; Interment in Greenwood Union Cemetery.
