John A Baraks, 52, of 2034 2nd St Moline, died at 1: 35 yesterday afternoon in the Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 3 Tuesday afternoon in the First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley, with the Rev Robert K. Walker, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Coal Valley Cemetery. The body will be moved to the church by noon tomorrow.
Friends may call at the Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island.
Mr. Baraks was born August 7, 1910, in Coal Valley a son of William and Sadie Baraks. He was reared and attended schools in Coal Valley and attended Browns Business College in Moline.
He married Phyllis McGimpsey Set. 5, 1931 in East Moline. He had been employed for the last 35 years with the Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric Co. He had been in charge of sales and records, and had been in the central office in Davenport the last 12 years.
He was of Presbyterian faith. He had resided in Moline the last 26 years.
Mr. Baraks is survived by the widow; a son of Coal Valley; a sister Mrs. Ethel Kouski of Coal Valley and two grandsons,of Coal Valley.
