Adams, Juanita Josephine Adams - September 23, 1920 - October 29, 2016 Juanita (Jo to all who knew her) passed quietly in her sleep on Saturday, October 29th. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Juanita was a friend to all she met. Her kindness was well known and it was often said, "she knew no strangers". Juanita is survived by her daughter, Penny Farley (Dwight), and son, Dwayne (Sydney). Juanita had four grandchildren, Kerrie Thompson (Herman), Patricia Farley, Dustin Adams (Laura/mother Pam), Destry Farley, and seven great grandchildren. Juanita was born in Muncie, Indiana, and moved to Phoenix in 1957 with her husband Dwayne A. Adams. She worked for many years as secretary to the Board of Directors for the State Compensation Fund. Juanita was also active in Eastern Star, Shriners, and her church Circle of Peace in Peoria, Az. She hosted a weekly bible study including the Wednesday before her death. Juanita will be greatly missed. She left us all with a warm heart and a feeling of love towards others. A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 6th, at Phoenix Memorial Mortuary, 200 W Beardsley, Phoenix, AZ, 12pm-1pm and service immediately following 1pm-2pm. A reception will follow at Sun City Masonic Lodge, 18810 N 107th Ave, Sun City, AZ 85373 from 2:30pm to 4pm.
