Beatrice L. LaChappelle, age 89, of Two Rivers passed away Monday morning, November 7, 2016 at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Beatrice was born August 18, 1927 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Joe and Elsie (Klein) Gretz. On June 26, 1946 she married Elroy LaChappelle at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2008.
Beatrice was a cook at A & W and L. B. Clark Elementary School, where she retired from. She enjoyed having breakfast with "The Girls" and taking walks. Beatrice worked side by side with Elroy, keeping up their property.
Survivors include her daughter Linda LaChappelle, Shoto; three grandchildren: Renee (Tom) Katers, Andrew (Jennifer) Brolin and Lance Brolin; 6 great grandchildren; two sister-in-law: Betty Gretz, Manitowoc; Judy Gretz, Two Rivers; Mother of her grandchildren: Marcy Brolin (Tom Brolin); a special niece and nephew: Richard Duvalle and Donna Duvalle; special friend: Rose Schetter; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Lee, and five brothers Herbert, Hillary, Floyd, Bernard and Orville Gretz.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma. Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and Beatrice's cremated remains will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m.
