James Gordon Mason was born on 18 Mar 1939 in Booneville, Prentiss County, Mississippi to James Lenier Mason and Lina Eugenia (Smith) Mason. He died on 11 Nov 2016 in Brandon, Rankin County, Mississippi at the age of 77. He retired from Humphrey Clower/Acosta, where he worked in sales for many years. He served in the United States Navy. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brandon, Mississippi, where he loved coaching his girls in softball. He, also, enjoyed helping others with the game. He always put others first, never met a stranger, and loved his family very much. Spending time with his family, brought great joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret Ann (Mason) Bailey.
He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, two daughters, two grandchildren, one sister, and many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
