Mildred Jeanette Haynes Rymer, age 86, of Knoxville, sister of Homer Haynes of the famed "Homer and Jethro" song and comedy duo, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 10, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Mildred was a strong Christian, and was a Baptist.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Henry and Laura Haynes; brother, "Homer" Henry Haynes; sisters, Nora Haynes Blakley and Nina Haynes; and brother-in-law, Robert Blakley. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles Howard Rymer; daughters, Cathy Rymer and Susan Rymer; grandchildren, Christina Moscarello Silveira (husband Bryan Silveira), Dylan Carver, Peyton Carver and Tatum Carver; great-grandchildren, Luke and Lilly Silveira; brother, Jack Haynes; brother-in-law, Edward Rymer, wife, Jane and daughter, Dr. Jennifer Rymer. A special "Thank You" to the kind friends at S. and S. Cafeteria, Judy Clark; hair-dresser, and employees of Belk and Talbots' for always making our dear Mildred feel special.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2016, Highland Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Alan Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2016, Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com.
