Koretta Lee Schramm was born on 8 Dec 1939, in Kent, King, Washington, to Henry Albert "Lee" Schramm and Grace Olieve Young. Her brother Kyle Dean Schramm being born in 1937. She was 4 years old in 1944 when her father died at the age of 38 years old. Her mother who always went by the name of Olieve (as her mother also had the same first name "Grace") married Leao Patrick Justice on 24 Feb 1947, in King County, Washington, and had a daughter together "Kathy" who was born in Renton, WA, mid December of that year. The family of five (5) moved from Washington to Northern Illinois shortly afterward. Leao raised all the kids as his own and the family, began to put down roots near Mazon, Illinois where Koretta attended Mazon Verona Kinsman High School.
It was here in her teen-age years that she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized along with her brother Kyle and step Father Leao P Justice.
Koretta married James Frederick Warren Sr, 21 Sep 1957, in the Full Gospel Church in Seneca, Illinois, that her parents helped to build, a life-long friend and Pastor, Roy Wilson officiated. Two boys came out of this relationship James Frederick Warren Jr in 1958, and Duane Allen Warren in 1959. Over the next several years they moved from Morris to Aurora, Montgomery, and Sandwich, Illinois. Koretta and Jim divorced in 1970. She married second Kurt Kelson, a relationship which lasted just a couple years. Koretta married third Conrad William "Connie or Con" Clark on 16 Aug 1974 at Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada (his first marriage). Their first child together Eric Scott Clark was born in 1975 and their next and final child Kimberly Dawn Clark was born in 1977, both in Aurora, Kane, Illinois.
"Sam" as Koretta was known by loved the water and the outdoors, she operated a beauty shop out of her homes for over 25 years and taught swimming lessons to numerous neighbors, friends and family in their backyard, in-ground, pool. She was a great cook and a fun-loving person!!
Conrad (Connie) was a Master Certified Scuba Diver and for a while Sam managed a Scuba Shop. Over the years they and their family and friends traveled all over the world and dove together. They both dearly loved their children and grandchildren and taught each of them to swim as soon as they could and Scuba Dive as well.
Cancer took Con on 9 Nov 2014, while they were living on the Sea of Cortez, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and just two years and three days later on 12 Nov 2016, at the home of her daughter Kim in Vancouver, Washington; Sam's race was won and she went on to join him.
Rejoicing in her life and mourning her passing are her four (4) children: Jim (Colleen) Warren, of Marion, Indiana, Duane (Trinette) Warren, Eric Clark, and Kimberly (Sameer)Pawaskar all of Vancouver, Washington: eleven (11) Grandchildren: Kyle (Candace) Warren, Seattle, Kristi (Jared) Richard, Salem, Oregon, Kelsey (Nathan) Mitchener,of Colorado, Nathaniel (Courtney) Warren, Spain, Christian Warren, Vancouver, Caitlyn and Faith Warren, Indiana; Mikael and Conrad Curley, Vancouver and Neha and Rava Pawaskar, Vancouver. One (1) great grand child Ashlyn of Kenmore, Washington.
