We to-day learn of the death of the two year old daughter, yesterday, of Mr. Thos. Phelps, of Sampsel township. Croup was the cause of the child's death, and burial took place yesterday.

Suggested edit: "Death came to the home of Y. G. [sic] and Lizzie O. Phelps of Sampsel township on Oct. 22nd, 1890, and claimed their bright and lovely little daughter, Orah Lee, aged 3 years and 9 months. After suffering 48 hours with membranous croup, death came to her relief and her pure spirit returned to God who gave it. Her remains were laid to rest in the Lilly Grove Cemetery, beside her infant sister. The family circle is broken. No more we hear the prattling tongue and the dear sweet voice which loved to sing the precious words: 'I've two little hands to work for Jesus, one little tongue his praise to tell.' But she has gone to join the angel band, and we sorrow not as those who have no hope, for our loss is her eternal gain.

Our darling niece, sweet Orah Lee.
No more on earth her face shall see;
Your prattling tongue and voice so clear,
So still in death, no more we hear.

Parents and sisters numbering three,
Weep not for dear, loved Orah Lee.
She is now at rest in that bright happy land.
Be ready to meet her at God's right hand.
Kittie J. Boyle, Muddy Lane, Mo."
