He started school at the country Newlan school and finished high school in white Sulphur Springs,MT Where he was Salutatorian of his class of 1946. He started working summers on ranches at the age of 12. He was so proud to be able to buy his school clothes.
He started working for ranchers full time after he graduated then he went to work for Ray Compton at Compton Motors.
That is where he & Fay B.Walter met. the summer of 1948 when she came with her parents to visit her Grandpa Clint Walter & Uncle Roy N. Walter & Family. Nov. of 1948 He went to Waterford Calif. To Visit Fay we were engaged and married 10 April 1949. We then moved back to Lewistown MT. where He worked for Mel Blackford on a farm & ranch where his parents also worked.
That fall he went to work at Sears Roebuck in Lewistown. July of 1950 found us moving to White Sulphur Springs, MT where he went back to work at Compton Motors. He worked there till he was drafted in to the Army Jan. 1952 & was in guided missile program for two years. After the Army he went to work at Compton Motors.& then the Ford garage. During this time our children were born Bonita Fay and Ronald James.
He then went to work for IBM. for 8 years as a customer engineer. We then bought the Montana Motel at Whitehall MT. He opened up a auto repair shop and we ran that & the Motel for 10 years. He drew our house plans and in March of 1975 we moved back to White Sulphur Springs to his Great Grand Mother Blackall's homestead where we built our home & shop and he started doing auto and farm repairs. He had repaired every thing mechanical, electrical & electronic.
He gathered his family history & wrote it into a book on the Fuller Family. Then he was told he should write a book so he wrote Socks for his first book, Then Marty's Mom. then Mr Marty,Marty's town and the 5th one Millers & Flies. All standalone books, but also carries on as a single book. He got to working with wood and made some beautiful pieces of furniture and chests.
He was preceded in death by his parents & his brother Bill.Jimmy doesn't want you to be sad because of his death. He wants you to remember the good times and go dancing.
