She was the daughter of Jesse and Mary Lena (Moorehead) Bean and married Richard Eugene Dietrich - 30 Sep 1969 - Hammond, Lake Co., Indiana. Her obituary follows:

Emily Bean Dietrich, of Benton, Kentucky, died October 24 after a brief illness. She was 38.

A native of Franklin County, she was born October 24, 1949 to Jesse Bean, Jr. and Mary Lena Moorehead Bean. Of the Methodist faith, she was a homemaker.

Services were held today (October 26) at Moore-Cortner Chapel. Rev. Thad Collier officiated. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include one son, Gene Dietrich of Benton, Kentucky; two daughters, Terri and Brenda Dietrich of Benton, Kentucky; her mother, Mrs. Mary M. Bean of Winchester; three sisters, Becky Putnam of Estill Fork, Alabama, Susan Milligan of Scottsboro, Alabama, and Amber Bean of Posen, Illinois; two brothers, Jerry Bean of Huntsville, Arkansas, and Michael Bean of Orlando, Florida.
