Bryson City - Glenna H. Ensley, 82, of Fontana Road, passed into eternal life on Thursday, May 27, 2004, after an extended illness.

A lifelong resident of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Dillard and Ivey Crisp Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bernice Hall; her husband, Bill Ensley; two sons, Tom and Jimmy Ensley; and a great-grandson, Samuel Ensley.

She is survived by sons, Bill Ensley Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., George Ensley of Bryson City; daughter, Bobbie Sue Smiley and husband, Larry, of Bryson City; sister, Ruby Fox of Bryson City; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Swain Memorial Park. The Rev. John Tagliarini will officiate.

The family extends special thanks to WNC Internal Medicine, Dr. Thomas Wolfe, Westcare Health Systems, Kelly Home Health, Angel Home Health, Pastor John Tagliarini, Betty Martin and Kathy Jumper.
