Maurice Neil Severson was born on September 3, 1925, the son of Martin and Nora Severson at Adams, Minnesota. He attended Adams High School and graduated in 1943. Maurice served in Germany in World War II.
On September 25, 1949, Maurice married Geraldine Anderson at Austin, Minnesota. To this union three children were born: Charlotte, Robert and Shari. They spent their entire life on the Severson farm northwest of Adams. Maurice and Geraldine were the third owners of the farm originally homesteaded in 1867 by Mons and Ragnild Severson.
On February 29, 1976, Maurice suffered a heart attack. On April 29, 1976, he suffered a second heart attack and passed away at the age of 50. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Gerri), a son Robert of Austin; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Charlotte) Timm of Plainview and Shari at home; two grandsons, Daniel Severson and Joel Timm; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Rosella) Flaten of Glendale, Arizona, and Mrs. Laurel (Bertha) Nelson of Rose Creek, Minnesota; one aunt, Bertha Erager, of Faribault, Minnesota, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.
He was a kind and loving husband and father. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
