Mrs. Britt was born in Alma, Ga to the late George Alfred Carter and Linnie Bennett Carter. She had five brothers and one sister who have all proceeded her in death. She grew up on a South Georgia farm surrounded by a large close knit family. She attended South Georgia College and lived briefly in Savannah, Ga. Mrs. Britt loved calling North Augusta home for over 60 years where she raised her family and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Belvedere. She spent her entire life creating a warm and happy home for her family while being involved with various school, community and church activities. Mrs. Britt especially enjoyed her involvement at her church where she taught Sunday School, served on various committees and sang in the choir. She cherished her favorite role however, as a loving mother and grandmother. She was known to have a smile, encouraging word and hug for many, which will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include a son, a daughter, two grandchildren, a sister in law.
Pallbearers will be Dan Jenrich, Cameron Jenrich, Ben Mickey and Jerry Carter.
