Sharleen Delores Hammell, age 64 of Rachel, WV and formerly of Mannington, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at her residence. She was born April 24, 1952 at Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Garvine Delores Farley and Eugene Louis Farley.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Hugh Hammell of Rachel; a daughter, Delores Ann Hammell of Rachel and her partner, Joseph Denver Esultante, 3 grandchildren, Zadia Imala Martin, Aiden Hugh Martin and Zander Joseph Esultante; a son, James Robert Hammell of Graysville, PA and partner Rodney Todd Bristor; a brother, Randall Farley of Fairmont, a nephew, John Ross Farley, sister-in-law, Nancy Farley and niece, Kylie Berry; a sister, Peggy Floyd of Hutchinson, WV, a brother-in-law, Bill Floyd, niece, Crystal Collett, nephew-in-law, Michael Collett, 2 great-nephews, Andrew Stanley and Austin Stanley; a nephew, John Hern and great-nephew, Damon Hern; a great-nephew, Corey Boese, niece-in-law, Nicole Boese, daughters, Jenna and Krista; a great-nephew, Aaron Boese; a sister-in-law, Nancy Diane Griffiths, a brother-in-law, Jim Griffiths, a niece-in-law, Katy Griffiths, and a nephew-in-law, Matt Griffiths; and her grand-dogs, Winston and Levi.

Sharleen was preceded in death by her brothers, Ermal Louis Farley, Richard Farley and Robert Farley; a sister, Sandra Fairleigh; a father-in-law, George Crosby Hammell and mother-in-law, Beulah May Stansberry Hammell.

Sharleen was previously employed at the Mannington Shop-N-Save for over a decade and T&L Hot Dogs in Mannington. She was a graduate of Mannington High School Class of 1971. She was a member of the East High Methodist Church in Mannington. She enjoyed playing Bingo, puzzles, Yahtzee, computer games and talking to her friends on the phone. She had a genuine love for music and dancing.

The family would like to thank Kaylah, Cody and Chris of Amedisys Hospice care. There truly are angels among us. We appreciate their service and genuine care in helping Sharleen journey from our world into Heaven. Also a thank you to Sharing and Caring of Mannington and the congregation and Pastor of the East High St. United Methodist Church.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St. in Mannington on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday at 11am with Pastor Mark Osbourne officiating. Burial will be at Viewpoint Cemetery in Rachel.

Masters Funeral Home in Mannington will be in care of her arrangements.
