Mr. Dwight Douglas Arden, age 79, of Trion, GA passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at Redmond Regional Medical center.

Mr. Arden was born February 10, 1937 to the late Mac and Julia Arden in Trion, GA. He was a veteran of the US Army, former Trion city council member, Boy Scout leader, and was awarded the Silver Beaver leadership award.

Along with his parents, Mr. Arden is preceded in death by Larry Arden, Mac Arden, Jr. Paul Arden, Charles Arden, Thelma Payton, Doris Fletcher, Edna Arden, and Phil Payton.

Mr. Arden is survived by his nieces; Kimberly Arden, Martha Mincy Stewart, Dawn Christopher, Paula Arden, Jeannie Brittain, Susan Fletcher England, nephew; Stephen and Mitzi Payton, sister-in-law; Margaret Arden, and brother-in-law Russell Payton.

A graveside memorial service for Mr. Arden will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 20 at West Hill Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Holt, Steve Baker, James Tuffy Russell, Jim Shaheen, Matthew Cabe, Chuck Chamlee, Ronald Christopher, and Jared Christopher.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 Sunday, at the Funeral Home.
