William "Bill" E. Artman was born to Ernest W. Artman and Norma L. (Morgan) Artman. William graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School, Fairfield, Class of 1966. He married Carolyn "Honey" Mehlhouse on March 30, 1968. He loved baseball, football and won many bowling trophies. Bill lived at 45 Bryant Street, Bridgeport, and was employed by the Raybestos Company in Stratford.
He is survived by his parents, wife, one month old son, William Ernest Artman, Jr, a sister, Karen and other relatives and friends.
William was a murder victim. He was carjacked, shot and killed at age 19.

Survivors, in addition to his wife and son, are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Artman of Fairfield; a sister, Karen, of Fairfield and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Morgan, West Virginia.
