Services for Susie A. Allebach, 89, of El Dorado, were held Wednesday afternoon at Temple Baptist Church. Burial followed the services in Belle Vista Cemetery. Mrs. Allebach died Monday, July 6.The Rev. Carl Bush and Rev. Mel Brown officiated at the services. Mrs. Elaine Brown, at the organ, played the prelude and the postlude. Mrs. Elaine Guy sang "Whispering Hope" and "Precious Memories."Casket bearers were Wesley Qualls, David Qualls, Reginald Qualls, Larry Ricker, Marvin Conner, Jim Bryan and Harry Keplar.Carlson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

(El Dorado Times - July 10, 1987) Susie Anna Allebach, 89, of El Dorado, died early this morning, July 6, 1987 at Knutson Manor Nursing Center after a lengthy illness.Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church. Burial follows in Belle Vista Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 4, 1897 in Oklahoma, the daughter of William L. and May Rainey Hobbs. She married Albert Fort Barnes in 1914 in Oklahoma. She later married Orville Clyde Allebach on Jan. 25, 1930. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1962. She moved to El Dorado in 1923 from Springfield, Colo. She was a member of the First Baptist church of El Dorado for more than 50 years, and then in 1973, she joined the Temple Baptist church. She was also a member of the El Dorado Golden Age Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy A. Turner of El Dorado, one step-son, Hobart Allebach of Kansas City; four grandchildren, Shirley Ricker, El Dorado, Fred "Bud" Woelk Jr., Kennewick, Wash., Darrell Woelk, Walnut Grove, Calif., William Turner, Lansing; four step-grandchildren, Richard C. Dove, Winfield, James Dove, Los Angeles, Calif., Barbara Swartzfager, Boulder, Colo., Carolyn Crawford, Omaha, Neb.; 25 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, three brothers, one sister and a stepdaughter.

Memorials in her memory for the Temple Baptist Church may be sent to the Church or left at Carlson's Funeral Home, where friends may call. (El Dorado Times - July 6,1987)
