Mrs. Joanne McGraw Flook, 80, of Keedysville, MD passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Austin Flook for 62 years.

Born February 16, 1936 in Sharpsburg, MD she was the daughter of the late Victor Grove and Mary Glondola Hanes McGraw.

Joanne spent the majority of her life involved with the family dairy/beef farm after a brief career with Kay Jewelers and attending college. She owned and operated Felfoot Ceramics for over 20 years. Joanne also enjoyed attending auctions with her husband and was involved in the day to day operations of the former Boonsboro Livestock Auction and J.G. Cochran Auctioneers and Associates, LTD. In what spare time Joanne had she enjoyed sitting and fishing in the stream that passed through the family farm and also loved cooking and canning. Joanne also volunteered at the McClellan Gun Club and the Sharpsburg Volunteer Fire Co. and for many years she served as Chief Election Judge for the 19th election district.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Dwayne Flook of Keedysville; grandchildren Logan and Parker Flook; sister Groveine Robinson and her husband Eddie of Hagerstown and nephews and cousins. She will also be missed by her special friends Jim, Leslie and Jamie Cochran, Bruce and Kathleen Poole and many other family, friends and auction goers.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Boonsboro Cemetery.

In lieu flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
