Born June 2, 1933, in Stamford, Harold was the son of the late A.C. and Mildred (Bryant) McNutt. He graduated from Aspermont High School in 1951 and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. Harold married Lyndia Ford September 26, 1958, in Aspermont. He worked as a night watchman for the City of Aspermont and was a volunteer fireman. Harold was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Lyndia McNutt of Aspermont; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Ramona McNutt of Lubbock, and Don and Meledy McNutt of Vernon; one daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Gary Lain of Hamlin; one brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Sally McNutt of Aspermont; three grandchildren, Jenifer Holtzman (and husband, Zach), Kristyn Walker (and husband, Aaron), and Joshua Lain; and one great grandchild, Preston Holtzman.
The body will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007, until time of the service Friday at the Central Baptist Church.
