John P. Morgan, 80, of Weatherford, formerly of Irving, died March 10 at Campbell Health System in Weatherford. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas. Arrangements were handled by Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home.
Mr. Morgan was born July 11, 1924, in Mount Vernon, Texas. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a former machinist. He was a member at St. Luke's Catholic Church.
Survivors include son, Michael Morgan and his wife, Debbie, of Irving; daughter, Linda Wetherbee and her husband, Clifford, of Irving; daughter, Janis Rodriguez and her husband, Michael, of Weatherford; brothers, James Morgan and Harry Morgan; sister, Dena; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Doris, in January.
