Mr. Cox passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 16, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Brandon and Frances Wagaman Cox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Toy and Nell Lowe Roberts of the Boma Community.
He was a retired banker and owned his own mortgage company, Great Plains Mortgage in Des Moines. He also was a member of YMBC, Young Mens Breakfast Club since his thirties. He also was a member of the Kiwanis Club and a Shriner while in Des Moines.
He loved to golf, fish and watch sports and westerns on TV. He had been living here since June of 2006.
Survivors include wife of 40 years Regina “GINA” Roberts Cox of Silver Point (Married June 25, 1976 in Des Moines), daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Luke Carlson of Ankeny, Iowa, son Jon Cox of Des Moines, sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Dan Cleland of Springfield, Missouri, grandchildren Courtney and Drew Carlson, brothers and sisters-in-law Jackie and Clark Thomas and Kay and Rick Lawson all of Silver Point, Janis and Gary Strausburgh of Florida, Troy and Sharon Roberts, Larry Roberts and Rick Roberts all of Baxter.
Family will receive friends Saturday from 1 PM until service time.
