Altschwager, Caroline Ann (Nee Losik) Surrounded by love, in the presence of her family, Caroline passed away peacefully on February 1, 2017, at age 83. She is survived by the love of her life, Louie, her husband for almost 62 years. Loving Mom to Tina (Rick) Makinen and Cindy (Steve) Petrie. Very proud grandma of Justin (Marcela) Makinen, Mike and Stevie Petrie, and Rosie (Jacob) Sheets. She is survived by her siblings Bob (Cathy) Losik, Mike (Pam), Frank, John, Collette (Jim) Machnik, and Cathy (Tom) Stollenwerk. Caroline was a woman of many talents, especially sewing, knitting, and baking. She shared these talents in the gifts she gave to others. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and they could do no wrong in her eyes. When dementia stated to change her world, Louie became her devoted caregiver, lovingly looking after her and keeping her in their home as long as possible. Caroline's final years were spent at Lasata Care Center and her family will be forever grateful for the loving and compassionate care she received from their dedicated staff and volunteers. Visitation will be Monday, February 6, 2017 at St. Francis Borgia Church, 1375 Covered Bridge Road in Cedarburg, from 9:30 AM until the Memorial Mass is celebrated at 11AM. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Francis Borgia Church are appreciated.
