Etna - Charlotte Althea Rowe passed away Nov. 21, 2016, after a short period of ill health. She was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Dexter.

She was predeceased by her husband, Hadley S. Rowe, who died in 1990. Charlotte was the mother of five children, Sandra Umble and husband, Terry, of Holden, Carol Harding and husband, Leslie, of Plymouth, Fred Rowe and fiancee, Deborah McGraw, of Etna, Freida Gamble of Florida, and Robert Rowe and wife, Paula, of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Tracy, Trixie, Ronnie, Freddie, Heidi, Christine and Robbie; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Charlotte worked for many years at the Newport Shoe Shop and as a supervisor at Guilford Industries. She enjoyed being a volunteer worker at the Hermon Baptist Church food site in her retirement years.

Services will be announced at a later date.
