John Charles Bass, 64, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016, in Houston. He was born January 16, 1952 in San Antonio to Charles Henry "Buddy" Bass and Myrtle Jane "Turt" Bass, nee Booth. John was of the Catholic faith and worked in the automobile business.
Survivors include his son, John Charles Bass, Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Leigh Bass; brother, Jerry Bass and wife, Reba; sister, K. Bennetsen; nephew, Cody Bennetsen and wife Jess; and niece, Megan Williams; great-nieces, Ava and Paisley; and great-nephew, Wyatt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Shirley Jane Bass.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2016, at 10:30 A.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with Father William D. Bartniski officiating.. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday morning starting at 9:00 A.M.; a rosary will be held at 10:00 A.M with the service after. Burial will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston at 1:00 P.M.
